Min asks cbank, watchdog to investigate early inflation report

MOSCOW, Jul 8 (PRIME) -- Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin ordered the Federal State Statistics Service and the central bank to investigate publication of June inflation figures ahead of schedule, the ministry said in a statement Monday.

“This is absolutely inadmissible. I am asking my colleagues from the Federal State Statistics Service and the central bank to hold an internal investigation of the matter,” Oreshkin said.

The central bank said, citing data of the service, that inflation slowed down to 4.7% annually in June.
